Applies to all Scandi9 watch faces · last updated 13 August 2026
This policy explains what data our watch faces and their unlock-code service collect, why, and who it is shared with. It is provided by Scandi9, contactable at support@scandi9.com.
It applies to every watch face published by Scandi9 on the Garmin Connect IQ Store. If a particular watch face handles data differently from what is described here, that will be stated on its own store page.
By default, our watch faces send nothing anywhere.
Two optional features — the city name and the air quality index — use OpenWeatherMap, and they only work if you enter your own free OpenWeatherMap API key in the watch face settings. If, and only if, you have entered a key, the watch face sends the following to OpenWeatherMap while the feature is enabled (every 30 minutes by default, adjustable in the settings):
Nothing else leaves your watch. Temperature, precipitation, UV index and the high/low forecast come from Garmin's own weather service and are handled by Garmin, not by us.
Your coordinates are sent as reported by the watch and are not stored by us. OpenWeatherMap's handling of that request is covered by their own privacy policy.
You can switch this off at any time by removing your OpenWeatherMap API key from the settings.
If you buy an unlock code, we store a record of that purchase:
We use this only to issue your code, to re-send it if delivery fails, and to verify your purchase if you contact support. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
Each of these providers handles data under their own privacy policy.
We keep purchase records for as long as we may need them to support your purchase — for example, to re-send your unlock code, or to confirm that you bought it. You can ask us to delete your record at any time by emailing support@scandi9.com. Note that once it is deleted we can no longer verify your purchase if you later need support with your unlock code.
Your coordinates are never stored by us at all.
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email support@scandi9.com and we will respond.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new "last updated" date.
